music for flute & strings on period instruments

Born in Las Palmas, Spain, Virginie Guiffray spent her formative years in Cannes, France, where she was inspired by a musical grandmother. After completing her academic studies, she spent some time performing in Barcelona before attending the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied with Jan Schlapp.
She has toured Europe with the European Union Baroque Orchestra and now lives in London and performs with leading period instrument orchestras such as Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, La Serenissima, Charivari Agreable and Midland Baroque.
Virginie plays on a viola by Pasqual Norris (1998), a copy of a Stadivarius, and with a bow by the Dutch maker, Bowman.
